Terminal Operating Specifics Tampa offers drivers the opportunity to be home every day The terminal offers dedicated local driving opportunities hauling bulk cement and building materials. Drivers may pull tanks flat bed and possibly dry van trailers. Drivers must park tractors on the Tampa yard. Major Customers Products Hauled 1) Vulcan Materials 1) Bulk Cement & Bagged Cement 2) Lehigh Cement 2) Bulk White cement 3) Titan America 3) Bulk cement Loads hauled are non-regulated CDL A Endorsement Requirements No Endorsement Needed Is the TWIC Required Not by all drivers. CCC will pay for the TWIC if needed. Experienced Drivers- Must have at least 6 months of recent-verifiable T-T driving experience. Capacity Types (Drivers hired must be able willing to operate all types of trailers at the terminal. Drivers will be crossed trained to haul Beer and Cement.) 1) Local Drivers Local drivers are home everyday. In general local drivers have routes that are in close proximity to the terminal. Drivers will start and stop their shift at the terminal each day. Flat bed trailers cargo must be tarped. Hiring Radius Must live within 25 miles of the terminal facility (less than 45 minutes travel). Home Time Local drivers are home every day. Overnight stay can be required. Schedule Shift The work schedule in general is Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday shift. Most of the time drivers will have weekends off. Driver start times each day averages around 4 00am and could be earlier some days. Shifts will last between 10 to 14 hours per day. Equipment Local drivers will be assigned day cabs to drive. All tractors have radio or Qualcomm communication. Tractors are not permitted to be taken home and must be returned to the yard after each shift. Transmission New units have Ultra shift (No clutch pedal) and are automatic. New Day Cabs have 10 speed auto transmissions. Horse Power 355 380 Engine Type 2006 and older is Aset engine 2007 and newer is MP7. Speed Governor set for 62 MPH due to our commitment to safety. Wages Pay Local drivers are paid a percent of the load based on the driver s experience. Drivers will make between 450and 650 per week.
