SUMMARY Management Business Solutions (MBS) is actively seeking a Lead Carpenter in Grand Rapids MI for our client in the construction industry. The Carpenter will be responsible for running commercial general trades projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with existing structures as well as starting from scratch.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct precise measurements of project spaces and construction materials Comply with safety procedures and policies at all times Operate various types of tools and machinery used for cutting fastening carving and designing Possess the knowledge and experience to a project from beginning to end including demolition rough carpentry trim work and finish work Work from blueprints and notes as well as verbal instruction to complete layouts Installation of doors cabinets counters laminate and other components Tracking inventory of materials through building process Directing and overseeing others on site to ensure safety and efficiency are being maximized MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma required Ability to perform heavy lifting Ability to stand climb bend and kneel for prolonged periods of time required Manual dexterity required Advanced mathematic skills preferred Some supervisory experience preferred
