SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Operations Technician Hand Grind is responsible for performing detailed grinding of parts to print .The Operations Technician Hand Grind reports to the Production Supervisor Manufacturing Operations Leadership in Orchid Bridgeport.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESHand grinders are required to hold tight tolerances using hand -eye coordination Grind parts to print Perform weekly housekeeping per 65 schedule. Lead quality and compliance by utilizing One Orchid global processes and complying with all Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation requirements and establishing supporting plan(s) to meet exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPls) for Quality that support Safety Compliance Six Sigma Quality On-Time Delivery (OTD) and financial objectives. Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor or Lead . EXPERIENCE5 -10 years prior hand grind experience preferred Prior buffing experience preferred Demonstrated experience using hand-eye coordination working with a rotating wheel KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust pay strict attention to detail Able to fully concentrate on task at hand disregarding outside influences Ability to apply logic and reasoning to solve problems including identifying strengths weaknesses locating alternative solutions and conclusions and approaches to problems and making high-quality timely decisions EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION High School diploma or equivalent ABOUT OUR VALUESAs a member of our team leading from our values is foundational.
