There are only 168 food pantries & 20 food banks in New York City that serves the ever increasing demographic. In long island NY there only 17 food pantries & 5 food banks to serve all of long island New York clearly not enough.Solution Building more food banks and pantries would accommodate this growing demographic and relieve the pressure on existing city services & fight off starvation.Overcoming risk By working together with government agencies & other nonprofit organizations who specialize in humanitarian outreach programs.Using local city resources as well as getting support from local business that serve the community together will eliminate risk.Benefits Local food banks will also point their clients to community programs to help educate parents and children on proper nutrition.
