Receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts practices and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Create purchase orders to order materials goods and supplies from the appropriate vendor in adequate time to not run out of inventory and or meet deadlines given by customers. Work directly with the vendor on all correspondence concerning purchases including price adjustments damaged or returned goods lead times shipping method etc. Assist with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular bases. Create and upkeep all product data that revolves around purchasing i.e. current cost preferred vendor vendor contact information etc. Track the status of open purchase orders and communicate to the appropriate personnel when to expect the product or if there is a delay. Work with warehouse team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered missing products or damaged product.
