Shift 1st- 7 30 a.m. - 4 00 p.m.SUMMARYTo assembly finished product using sub-assemblies parts packaging and box sealers pack in designated boxes according to customer specification sheet and company policies.Duties and Responsibilities All production workers will rotate assembly line work stations . Checks stocks bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies parts. Checks for designated box pack and appropriate label. Contacts material handler if shortages exist or incorrect boxes are in warehouse bins. Check meat temperature insuring that it meets the critical control point (CCP) and move meat rack into freezer if needed. Packs finished product into designated boxes. Checks all meats being sliced prior to placing into bags for color odor foreign objects shredding or anything unusual. Resolves assembly and packing problems. Reports problems to production Supervisor for assistance. At end of shift contacts material handler clears stock bins and flat cartons of unused items and prepares for next day production. Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies. May pre-stamp boxes bags retail kits Requirements Education and or Experience Less than high school education or up to one six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in intricate hand assembly on paced assembly line manufacturing packer assembler experience preferred.Communication Skills Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Must be able to read write and speak English Spanish.Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10 s and 100 s. Must be able to add subtract using calculator.Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
