A little about me I am a broadly experienced piano teacher of more than 25 years with a Master of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Arizona where I studied under Paula Fan and John Milbauer. I have an unusual depth and breadth of knowledge I ve studied piano technique in great depth and know how to explain piano playing in great detail. I ve formally studied jazz as well as classical. I transpose do figured bass read lead sheets and sight read open score... That being said the students of course are what matter most As a teacher I m insightful and creative. I m patient and kind and praise often. I love accommodating different learning styles. Students know me for my passion for music and for fostering a positive experience at the piano. I always encourage my students to study music they love alongside music that challenges them. Teaching every style comes naturally - I ve played it all I listen carefully to what my students say so I can know how best to help them progress.
