Under the direct supervision of the Chief Engineer this position assists general repairs in and around the Lodge in accordance with standards at Unicoi State Park & Lodge.Essential Functions Perform general repair and maintenance of any and all equipment found in and around the Lodge & Park. Ensure that all safety systems are operable. Respond to guest room calls as required. Assist other departmental craft workers as required. Perform all duties required as Fire Alarm Response Team. Performs simple carpentry tasks such as installing shelves hooks or closet rods. Changes light bulbs may replace fixtures and does similar minor electrical tasks. Opens clogged drains fix leaks and performs other simple plumbing jobs. Does touch-up painting and repaints rooms as required. Assists in snow shoveling and or road clearing when needed. Mows lawn removes weeds and brush and does other unskilled yard work. Assists with loading or unloading trucks and moving furniture when needed. Maintains tools and maintenance equipment in working order and keeps maintenance room in neat condition. EXPERIENCE Six months to one-year related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. HVAC PTAC certification is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs follow direction work a flexible schedule (including weekends & holidays).
