The ChallengeWe are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our Ahoskie Equipment Shop team to do semi-skilled and skilled small engine automotive heavy equipment and mechanic work. In this role you will service diagnose repair and rebuild mechanical systems for a variety of gas- and diesel-powered automotive and heavy equipment. What You BringExperience repairing and replacing tires. Experience performing preventative maintenance on light medium or heavy duty trucks and heavy duty equipment. Skills using 2 tools and pieces of shop equipment such as wrenches sockets battery chargers hydraulic jacks loaders fork lifts automotive truck lifts fuel service trucks tire changers tire balancers welders cutting torches diagnostic equipment computers tire jacks tire balance machines pneumatic wrenches diagnostic gauges electronic testers air impact wrenches air compressors air guns or torque wrenches. A complete set of tools. Note You will need to have a valid state commercial driver s license Class A with N endorsement within 90 days of hire. We may require EPA certification as a Type I II III or Universal technician. A pre-employment drug test is required. We will do a background check with previous employers for the past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol. Safety Toe Shoes are required within 30 days of hire.
