The ChallengeWe are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our Manteo Equipment Shop team to do semi-skilled and skilled small engine automotive heavy equipment and mechanic work. In this role you will service diagnose repair and rebuild mechanical systems for a variety of gas- and diesel-powered automotive and heavy equipment. What You BringExperience performing preventative maintenance on light medium or heavy duty trucks and heavy duty equipment. Experience with air intake systems including diagnosis and repair of turbo systems. Diagnostics experience with basic electrical systems and proper repair of wiring. Basic hydraulic system repair experience including component replacement and hoses. Computer skills needed to obtain diagnostic and repair information A complete set of tools. Note You will need to have a valid state commercial driver s license Class A with N endorsement within 90 days of hire. We may require EPA certification as a Type I II III or Universal technician. A pre-employment drug test is required. We will do a background check with previous employers for the past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol. Safety Toe Shoes are required.
