The ChallengeWe are hiring a DMV Assistant Commissioner to join our Strategy Research & Planning team in our new Rocky Mount headquarters. In this leadership role you will Guide and implement the NC Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) strategic direction. Oversee our Strategy Research and Planning team including our teams in our Impact Center Grants Research & Management and Legislative Support. Assure alignment of resources to implement NCDMV s strategic plan and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Establish a Grants Research & Management team and advance our Impact Center where IT and process improvement projects are monitored and supported by business analysts. Provide business and organizational expertise on issues related to the our IT and process improvement projects assuring that all components of successful project implementation are present including funding and statutory authority. What You BringThorough knowledge of the principles and practices of Public and Business Administration.Working experience completing long- and short-range and contingency planning. Working knowledge of systems models organizational behavior and performance business systems administration analytical methodologies and strategic planning. Experience understanding explaining and administering contracts provisions and specifications interpreting policies procedures regulations and laws. Experience clearly expressing technical business and operation ideas in oral and written formats. Collaborative spirit working with internal and external stakeholders to meet goals and objectives. Education & ExperienceBachelor s degree in Business Management Public Administration or a related field and 6 years of relevant management experience or An equivalent combination of training and experience.
