The ChallengeWe are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our Ahoskie Equipment Shop team. In this role you will perform semi-skilled and small engine automotive heavy equipment and mechanic work. Tasks involve the service repair rebuild and diagnosis of mechanical systems for gasoline- and diesel-powered automotive and heavy equipment. What You BringExperience performing preventative maintenance on light medium or heavy duty trucks and heavy duty equipment. Experience of air intake systems including diagnosis and repair of turbo systems Diagnostics experience with basic electrical systems and proper repair of wiring. Basic hydraulic system repair experience including component replacement and hoses. Experience troubleshooting and repairing of one or more of the following light medium heavy duty or farm equipment brake components. Computer skills needed to obtain diagnostic and repair information. Strength & dexterity to move relatively-heavy objects. A complete set of mechanics tools. Safety Toe Shoes. NotesYou will need to have a Class A Commercial Driver s License with N Endorsement within 90 days of hire. We may require EPA certification as a Type I II III or Universal technician. A pre-employment drug test is required. We will do a background check with previous employers for the past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol. Safety Toe Shoes are required.
